  • Bed charges calculated from 12:00 a.m. to 12: 00 a.m. irrespective of the time of admission.
  • If patient is required to be transferred to the ICU/ICCU or PICU, the room /bed that patient was occupying prior to the transfer is to be vacated. In case the bed is retained by attendants, the room charges will be levied  separately.
  • During the stay of the patient, if additional deposit requested is not paid the hospital reserves the right to transfer the patient to a lower admission class. 
  • For details of deposits kindly refer to Schedule of charges.
  • All patients for admission are requested to sign a declaration for payment as per the  hospital charges
  • During your stay if you have not received any intimation of amount accrued to your    account, kindly contact the Panel Helpline. 
  • At the time of admission if you have not been allocated the bed of your billing choice    (higher or lower), kindly take your request in writing from the staff on duty.

Q. What is ” Day – Centre”?

A. Day – Centre caters to patients undergoing surgeries/ procedures that do not require overnight stay in the hospital.  

Q. What are the procedures done in a Day – Centre?  

A. All minor, intermediate, major procedures eg. cataract with IOL etc. can be performed in Day – Centre.

Q. Where is the Day – Centre located?  

A.The Day – Centre is located on first floor of the main OPD building which is open from 7.00 a.m to 8.00 p.m. (except Holidays & Sundays).   

Q. Do I have to pay any amount for confirming the Operation? 
A.Yes, you are requested to pay Advance Deposit as specified in the Schedule of Charges, according to your operation category, which is decided by your doctor. Reservation Deposit is to be paid within 72 hours (48 hours in case of cardiac patients) on Surgeon’s booking date or one day prior to admission date whichever is earlier.

Q. Does Advance Deposit confirms my bed of choice? 
A.While all efforts will be made to give the bed/class of your choice, kindly appreciate that this may not be always possible as it will depend on Vacancy / Discharges & medical status of previous occupant. 

Q. After booking for Operation Theatre can I make a cancellation?
A.Yes, kindly get the authority letter from your consultant/ Surgeon, only he is authorised to cancel the Operation Theatre Slot & then, contact the Admission Counter.
 

Q. After cancellation of Operation Theatre can we get the refund of Advance Deposit paid?  
A.The advance Deposit is refunded only if the cancellation is being done on medical grounds and the same is certified & recommended for refund by your Surgeon (subject to the advance information at the Admission Counter). 
 
Q. Once reservation of Bed/ Operation Theatre is confirmed what time do I report on the date of admission?
A.You are requested to call on Ext. No. 160, 161 after 11.00 a.m. to confirm your bed allocation.
 

Q. What is the actual mode of admission?
A.After telephonic confirmation of your bed, you may bring the patient along with the doctor’s note & reservation deposit receipt or if you have any credit facility, kindly bring your letter of Authority from your company.  After fulfilling the formalities at the Admission counter, you will be given an Admission Number. Kindly quote the same  for any enquiry You shall be guided to the floor/ room allotted. Special facilities for Suite & Deluxe class patients. On arrival, kindly contact the Guest Relation Officer.
 
Q. After Admission can the patient be transferred to Higher class? 
A.Yes subject to availability of Bed. All charges shall be billed for higher class  retrospectively.   

 
Q. After Admission can the patient be transferred to Lower class?
A.Yes, subject to the availability of Bed and payment of all outstanding.
 
Q. When do I pay the balance amount of deposit?
 A.Total amount of Deposit is to be paid at the time of admission, kindly refer to Schedule of Charges.
 
Q. What is the mode of payment acceptable?  
A.Payments are accepted by Cash/Bank Draft/ Traveler’s Cheque/ Citi Bank Diners Card or American Express Card only.  

Q. Is my mediclaim policy accepted at your hospital?  
A.You are required to approach the company directly for reimbursement of your bill.   

Q. Do you provide Ambulance services?
A.Yes we do, Please contact casualty Medical Officer at 27515600 ,27525988-90, which is open 24 hours  

Q. What are the visiting hours? 
A.The visiting hours are from   

10.00 a.m. – 11.00 a.m. on Sundays and from
4.00 p.m. –  7.00 p.m. on all days
 
Q. How many passes do you issue?
A.To control the crowd & noise level, you will appreciate that we issue only One pass for attendant in shared/common wards and Two passes for Special, Deluxe & Suite class, which are to be surrendered at the Billing Counter at the time of discharge or you will be charged Rs. 100/-

Q. Can I bring the food from my house?
A.Bringing any food items from outside is prohibited. You can get supplementary meals for attendant, which will be charged extra.
 
Q. What are the timings for discharges?
A.Discharge time commences at 9.00 a.m. If the discharge is delayed beyond 11.00  a.m. till 3.00 p.m. you will be charged for half day’s bed charges for the day.

Q. What is the procedure for Final settlement?

A.Kindly bring all your deposit receipt for final settlement. The final bill should be settled by 10.30 a.m. to avoid half day charges which is levied after 11.00 a.m.
In case you are discharged on Sunday or on a Hospital Holiday, you may be required to make an on account payment as decided by the Admission & Billing Department, final bill will be prepared within 1 day. You will be given a Settlement Slip, which is to be produced at the time of final settlement.

Q. How do I get my Discharge Slip?
A.After final settlement you will be given a discharge slip in duplicate one for the floorstaff & other for the security on your way out.   

Q. What is the procedure for Refund?
A.Any refund due to you is paid vide refund voucher which is to be collected from Cash Counter Section. 

Q. Is there any surcharge on the hospital bills?
A.There is no surcharge on the hospital bills but all foreign nationals and NRI will be levied 25% surcharge on the gross bill.

Q. What are the formalities for Foreign National?
A.Mode of payment is Indian Currency. To help you encash your dollar or T. cheque, provisions is made through Thomas Cook. For help contact Admission Counter.

Q. How will I come to know my billing status or the amount of additional deposit I am required to pay?
A.Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday, you will get a statement, for amount accrued to your account. It shall be appreciated, if the same is settled within 24 hours. Kindly note that Admissions/ Security Deposit is not adjusted against these charges.  

Q. After discharge how do I make an appointment for follow-up consultation? 
A.You may make an appointment on telephone number 27525988-90 (direct) or through the board at Ext. 160,161.   

Q. How do I get the Summary report / Discharge Card? 
A.Your Summary report / Discharge Card will be given to you by the floor staff before being discharged.  
  
Q. Where do I collect pending reports of investigations done during admission?
A. Pending reports are to be collected from the centralized report counter in Laboratory Basement   between 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Open Monday to Saturday.       

Q. Do you have Emergency Charges? 
A. Yes. These are 1.5 times the regular charges for Surgeries done on Sunday, Hospital Holiday & after 8 p.m. till 8 a.m.     

Q. Can we buy medicines or consumables from outside?
A. Sorry, our pharmacy provides all the medicines for Inpatient.       

Q. Do you have Telephone facilities for the patient in the Hospital?
A. Yes, Charges are @ Rs. 5.00 for every 3 minutes. Please contact the Floor staff for the direct telephone number of your room.
